As a novice, sometimes it is difficult to find a nudibranch using a book or a web forum if you don't know its genus. I have created a form that searches by some of the nudibranch traits such as color, texture, and patterns. If you are trying to use this tool to identify a nudibranch that you have observed, you may not get a match, since there are variations within the same species, especially color, and because we have photographed only a small percentage of the total nudibranch species.

If you can't find a specific nudibranch or want to learn more about nudibranchs, go to the Sea Slug Forum or Nudi Pixel sites. They have thousands of pictures and information. They may also be able to identify those that you can't.
